Fourth Reich in Disguise - how Germany is using the financial crisis to conquer Europe

Yesterday’s crisis meeting between Angela Merkel and Nicolas Sarkozy was arranged before the participants knew of the disastrous growth figures in the Eurozone that emerged in the morning. The background to the meeting was last week’s tumult in the world financial markets. Shares had gone into freefall after the downgrading of America’s credit rating. Worse than that, however, were the tremors rattling some of Europe’s most important banks, notably in France, caused by further evidence of the utter failure of even the more developed European economies to live anything like within their means.

Chancellor Merkel has managed to use the hard-earned money of German taxpayers to bail out profligate Eurozone countries without suffering any political fall-out. This is unlikely to remain the case and Mrs Merkel knows it. That is why yesterday she played down talk of the European Central Bank — funded by German-backed Eurobonds — paying off the debts of these all-but-bankrupt nations.

Instead, there was forceful talk of Eurozone countries being coerced into balancing their budgets and reducing their debt through what Merkel and Sarkozy called a ‘true European economic government movement’ made up of all the heads of state and led, initially, by the EU President Herman Van Rompuy.

Frau Merkel called for a ‘stronger coordination of policy’ and ‘a new quality of cooperation’ within the Eurozone.

Although she will not yet admit it, this all suggests the first step has been taken towards a fiscal union that  will leave Germany dictating the financial terms for the rest of Europe.

It is the one country that is able to do so. Greece, Ireland and Portugal are economic basket cases. We have heard more and more about the trouble in Spain, where unemployment is over 20 per cent.

Italy is tottering — the figures for 2010 show it has debts of 116 per cent of GDP, making the country second only to Greece at around 143 per cent.

Meanwhile, the recent addition of France to the list of at-risk economies has caused real shock and panic across the Channel. Its banks hold about an eighth of Greek debt, or $57 billion, its stock market has tumbled and credit rating agencies are talking of removing France’s triple A status.

So, after a summer of increasingly shrill panics around the Mediterranean, the contagion is moving north. Individual bail-outs have been tried, but they obstinately refuse to work. Only an idiot would think they would: they treat only the symptoms of Europe’s economic decline, not its causes.

If only everybody could be like the Germans, and spend just a mite more than they earn, then all would be well, the markets seem to say.

Germany lay in ruins in 1945, but it then invested in manufacturing plant, developed first-class education, innovated, raised its productivity and competed on quality not price.

Over the next 60 years it won the peace as comprehensively as it lost the war.

If the euro is to survive — and with it the European project — the other 16 Eurozone countries will have to be like the Germans. Indeed, they must lose the freedom not to be like the Germans.

That means a complete fiscal union in which Germany, as  the EU’s most powerful economy and principal paymaster, makes the rules and makes them unbreakable.

George Osborne interrupted his holiday in austerity-free Beverly Hills a fortnight ago to make this point by telephone to the European Commission and the ECB.

It is a high-risk strategy on his part, for if such a plan succeeded it would make Europe effectively a German empire, with non-Eurozone countries such as Britain on the sidelines.

Mr Osborne clearly believes we have no choice. His concern is that if the European economy implodes we would be badly damaged: not so much because of the debt owed by countries such as Greece to British banks, but also because of the loss of export markets in the Eurozone countries and investment by them in Britain.

However, the prospects of Germany’s partners in the Eurozone are starker still.

If the global financial markets continue to have no confidence in the sticking-plaster rescue packages offered by Eurozone leaders, some nations will  go bankrupt — one or two, such as Greece and Ireland, are already more or less trading while insolvent.

They may hope their salvation, apart from pulling out of the single currency and devaluing, would be to accept Germany properly bolstering the euro and effectively colonising the Eurozone.

This would entail a loss of sovereignty not seen in those countries since many were under the jackboot of the Third Reich 70 years ago.

For be in no doubt what fiscal union means: it is one economic policy, one taxation system, one social security system, one debt, one economy, one finance minister. And all of the above would be German.

That is not merely the price the markets would demand to be confident about the euro’s future, and to be happy to buy debt that could help fund Greece, or Ireland, or Italy. It is also the price that Germans themselves seem to be demanding for their support.

Stern, the German news magazine, conducted a poll last week among Mrs Merkel’s own supporters that showed that 52 per cent were opposed to her bail-out policy, and 62 per cent worried about the course of her party generally.

She is only two years from having to fight another election and cannot defy democratic gravity for ever.

Germany has already pumped 120 billion euros into the 440 billion bail-out fund. It is the fifth biggest economy in the world, which would mean that imposing its way of doing  things on the other 16 nations would carry tremendous  clout internationally.

It also has another reason for needing to shore up its partners: 42 per cent of its exports go to the Eurozone, with France alone taking 90 billion euros’ worth a year.

However, the latest figures show that demand for German goods is slowing, as is German growth. Shortly before the extent of the French problem with Greece was made public, Commerzbank — one of Germany’s leading banks — announced that it had to use 93 per cent of its second-quarter profits to write down $1.1 billion of Greek debt.

If Germany is to continue to prosper, Europe must prosper: but a ruthless solution may have to be imposed in order for that to happen. If the European project is to continue, Germany will not merely have to underwrite it, but control it.

The recently-agreed European Financial Stability Facility is not the answer. It is just another in a series of sticking-plasters that allows the ECB to buy the bonds of debtor nations to keep them solvent.

All these sticking-plasters are designed in the belief that the wound will not become yet more gaping: but it always does.

The alternative is the massive surrender of sovereignty to Germany by the rest of the Eurozone that would allow the economic policy of Greece, Ireland and Portugal to be made in Berlin.

That would reassure the markets, but it would also remove any pretence of democracy in those 16 countries: for once you have lost control of your economy, you have lost your sovereignty.

Every spending department in every government in the Eurozone would have its policy made in the old capital of Prussia.

And if the people did not like their governments being left with fewer powers than a county council, that would be tough. The alternative is ruin.

Where Hitler failed by military means to conquer Europe, modern Germans are succeeding through trade and financial discipline. Welcome  to the Fourth Reich.

Behind the scenes: The Fourth Reich in Disguise

Otto von Hapsburg said, “The [European] Community is living largely by the heritage of the Holy Roman Empire, though the great majority of the people who live by it don’t know by what heritage they live.”

Notice, “the great majority” don’t know they are even now living by the heritage of the Holy Roman Empire! That is because it has mostly been underground. But that is changing fast as the empire grows in power.

America and Britain are even more unaware of this great, fast-rising empire.

The people of Europe need a specific focus to stir their imaginations. And they are getting just that. Hapsburg, a descendant of the Hapsburg Dynasty which ruled the Holy Roman Empire for 400 years, talked about a crown in a museum in Vienna, Austria, which symbolizes a great deal to the Germans and the Vatican. He said, “We possess a European symbol which belongs to all nations of Europe equally; this is the crown of the Holy Roman Empire, which embodies the tradition of Charlemagne.” Charlemagne was crowned emperor of the Holy Roman Empire in 800 a.d.—the First Reich.

Hapsburg failed to mention that the Holy Roman Empire also embodied the tradition of Mussolini and Adolf Hitler—leaders of the Third Reich.

Europe is once again becoming mesmerized by the crown of Charlemagne—just as Hitler was.

Most of the time, over 1500 years of history, the Holy Roman Empire has been dominated by Germany and the Vatican.

The Spirit of Charlemagne

What is happening in the European superstate is a mystery to most of the world. But that mystery is beginning to be removed.

Bernard Connolly wrote a bombshell book in 1995 titled The Rotten Heart of Europe. For years he served at the heart of the Exchange-Rate Mechanism for the European Union (EU). He headed the commission unit responsible for monitoring and servicing the system. He labels the European superstate as rotten. Why so?

Connolly writes, “It is the battle for control of the European superstate, in which French technocrats confront German federalists, both sides claiming to fight under the banner of Charlemagne. The ‘collateral damage’ from this battle lies mainly in the future, but it could be ghastly” (p. xvi, emphasis mine).

Who will gain control of this great superstate? The battle can be narrowed down to two nations—France and Germany. Do knowledgeable people really doubt who will win this battle? The nation which controls the money will reign supreme.

“Across the Rhine, successive German governments have, in their pursuit of a ‘European’ cloak for German ambitions, been prepared to accept an apparent cession of national monetary authority—as long as the new European monetary looks, sounds, smells and acts exactly as the German monetary authority now does” (ibid., p. 4).

The EU system has already been called a Trojan horse. Mr. Connolly says it is a “cloak for German ambitions” and that “it could be ghastly”!

The spirit of Charlemagne has returned. This past king who ruled the First Reich had to wade through a sea of blood to achieve his goal of ruling Europe.

The big question remains unanswered. “In the new empire of Charlemagne, who would play Charlemagne? Exactly the same question was implicit, and left unanswered, at Maastricht” (ibid.).

Soon the world will know who the modern Charlemagne is to be. You can be sure he will have Germany’s stamp of approval. His actions will shock the world far more than the original Charlemagne’s did.

Recent Election

Last year, we informed our readers that in a German election in Saxony-Anhalt, a pro-Nazi party won nearly 13 percent of the vote. This racist party gained 14 seats in the state parliament.

This was the first time a pro-Nazi party won parliament seats since the Adolf Hitler era! That madman’s ghost is back to haunt us. Even most of the German press labeled April 26, 1998, a “black day” for Germany. Jewish leader Ignatz Bubis said, “I have great fears.”

On May 2, 1998, NBC News showed footage of Hitler and stated how this pro-Nazi party in the recent election gained more votes than Hitler’s did just a few years before he took control of Germany!

The election victory was followed a few days later by a three to four thousand-man neo-Nazi rally. It was the largest Nazi rally in years.

Gerhard Frey, leader of the pro-Nazi party (the DVU, or German People’s Union), denied in the news publication Süddeutsche Zeitung that the holocaust ever happened!

And this election happened in relatively prosperous times. What would happen during an economic crisis like the one before World War II?

This is one of many warning signs that our leaders and the press virtually ignore—in spite of Germany’s bloody history. America keeps lifting and pushing Germany to be the unchallenged leader in Europe. As we strongly support Germany, they move more toward right-wing extremism. And anti-Americanism, especially since the U.S.-led flop in Kosovo, is gaining momentum. Several intelligence services know that is true, not only in Germany, but in much of Europe.

America is trying to buy Germany’s love, and it isn’t working. Such actions reveal a dangerous weakness. For America to survive as a nation, it must recognize and correct that deadly flaw.

Several newspaper articles have been written about how the Neo-Nazis are popular with many Germans, including the middle class. That is a disturbing thought indeed!

Two years after World War II, America and Britain let the Germans denazify themselves.  This fact is well-documented. That is why the Nazis are so popular with the middle class. Nobody demanded that they change the spirit that started World Wars I and II.

This is the terrifying truth that most of the world refuses to face.

The Vatican-Israel Pact

The Vatican and Israel stunned the world by signing an agreement on diplomatic relations on December 30, 1993. For 45 years since the birth of Israel, no such relations had existed. In fact, there had been deep bitterness between these two parties. Some of that bitterness still lingers, and for good reason.

Parade magazine published an interview with Pope John Paul II on April 3, 1994. It said, “Notwithstanding the pope’s emphasis on the improvement of Catholic-Jewish ties, much tragic history, resentment and suspicion still live in Jewish memories about the behavior of the church, its faithful and the papacy over long centuries, as well as in the not-so-distant past…. There are Vatican conservatives who think that John Paul II has gone much too far in being a ‘protector of Jews,’ as the charge is whispered among some in Rome and elsewhere, and who would prefer to see their church remain immutable in its attitudes as in bygone centuries.”

That is a frightening statement if you consider the church’s bloody inquisitions and other crimes. And what if one of these “Vatican conservatives” replaces the ailing pope?

“This history includes the diaspora, the dispersion of the Jews around the world—which the pope has stressed—and their expulsion by the Catholic kings of Spain and the Inquisition, the persecutions, pogroms [planned massacres] and ritual murders over centuries and across the whole map of Europe, their confinement in ghettos and the endless humiliations.”

That history sounds like the Nazis of World War II! And still most people just ignore it.

Parade continued, “The greatest Jewish bitterness surrounds the figure of Pope Pius XII, whose lengthy pontifical reign spanned the periods before and after World War II. He has been accused in learned treatises and in dramatic plays of looking the other way and remaining silent when the Nazis murdered millions of Jews—and non-Jews—in the death camps of the Holocaust, and he remains to this day the subject of painful controversy among Catholics. He has been accused of failing to marshal the moral authority of the Holy See to protest Hitler’s crimes.

“When, during the war, the Apostolic Delegate in Turkey, Monsignor Angelo Roncalli, urged Pius XII to receive Yitzhak Isaac Halevy Herzog, the Chief Rabbi of Palestine, who wished to plead personally for the rescue of Jews throughout Eastern Europe, the pope flatly refused….”

It’s hard to imagine a more condemning truth from a man who professes to lead the world in God’s love! “The pope flatly refused”! And we still have “Vatican conservatives” who whisper against the present pope for being “a protector of Jews.”

Of course, the Jews were not the only ones killed in the Inquisition. The Catholic Church killed more than 50 million people during the Inquisition!

Only 6 million Jews were killed in World War II. How responsible is Pope Pius XII for the other 40-50 million killed?

Was the Vatican just “silent” when millions of Jews were murdered in World War II? Mark Aarons and John Loftus, in their book Unholy Trinity, have abundantly documented the fact that the Vatican heavily sponsored and engineered the infamous “Ratlines”—used to help most of the Nazi leaders escape the Allies at the end of World War II! The evidence in this book is overwhelming. Read it and you will believe the Catholic Church was more than just “silent” regarding the Jews in World War II and in their support for the Nazi cause. These facts are so well-documented that nobody can honestly reject them.

Margaret Thatcher was the only world leader with the courage to discuss the “German problem” (see left). The Vatican problem is even more explosive to discuss politically. So the Catholic Church continues to spill buckets of blood because men fail to speak and fight for the truth! How can we possibly justify not facing these deadly facts?

A Disturbing Interview

The German newspaper Schwabische Zeitung (SZ) printed in June of 1996 an interview with Roman Catholic cardinal Alfons Maria Stickler from Austria. He is a cardinal of the Curia (papal court of the Roman Catholic Church) and an adviser to the pope. Anybody who understands the history of the Catholic Church and the Holy Roman Empire would have to find the interview very disturbing. Here are some quotes:

What ails our society?

Stickler: The principles that were once personified in the aristocracy of the past are now gone. The moral strength, the willingness to stand up for what is good and defend it against all opposition, the unconditional willingness to fight for the doctrines of the holy Roman church, as well as restraint by a noble spirit….

What distinguishes the representatives of this aristocracy?

Stickler: They are loyal and devoted to the pope; politically neither right or left, only guided to realize the will of the pope and the Catholic honor….

Why?

Stickler: You know, the Brazilian nobleman Plinio Correa de Oliveira, founder of the Organization for the Defense of Traditions, Family and Possessions, and the author of numerous works for the defense of aggressive Catholicism against ungodliness, continually spoke of the value of the…aristocracy. Only these aristocrats [this includes the house of Hapsburg] can save the world from moral decay.

The cardinal says loyal Catholic supporters should be “only guided to realize the will of the pope and the Catholic honor.” Politically, they are neither right or left—“they are loyal and devoted to the pope” only!

Let me again remind you that, at the end of World War II and just after, the pope engineered the escape of many of the most evil leaders ever on the planet!

I believe that was the most treacherous act of World War II! After all, the Catholic Church should have been teaching God’s love, but was instead trying to perpetuate what Hitler built! It doesn’t take a psychoanalyst to know that they had to be closely allied with the Nazis during World War II to commit such an indescribable atrocity! That was “the will of the pope.” And any student of history knows that numerous popes have had a very dark history. Isn’t it frightening to think of supporters “only guided to realize the will of the pope”?

The cardinal discussed the “aggressive Catholicism” of the Holy Roman Empire. That aggressive system has always converted members with the sword! There has never been an exception in six different resurrections of that empire! Never one exception! And we must not forget that the Catholic Church killed 50 million people during the last Inquisition!

Is that the kind of “aggressive Catholicism” to which the cardinal refers? What makes this man think only the Catholics can save the world from moral decay? His views obviously reflect the pope’s philosophy. If they want to save the world from moral decay, perhaps they could start by publicly repenting of their mind-staggering evil committed during and after World War II.

Their philosophy has led the world into continual disaster. No church or organization can save this world. Man is the problem, not the solution. Only God can save us from moral decay or nuclear annihilation.

How much suffering does it take before we learn that simple truth?

Germany Gets Aggressive

In December 1991, Germany decided to recognize breakaway Yugoslav republics Slovenia and Croatia despite strong opposition from the EU, the United States and the United Nations; and despite the fact that the move again resurrected unsavory memories of Germany’s fascist past.

One week later the Vatican also recognized Croatia.

The EU eventually recognized the two states a month later. The UN also backed away from a direct confrontation with Germany. And the U.S., which at first blamed the Germans for provoking Yugoslavia’s civil war by recognizing the two breakaway states, eventually flip-flopped to even support Germany’s decision militarily!

That will prove to have been the beginning of America’s biggest foreign policy debacle ever!

It seemed the whole world feared to challenge Germany! It gives you an idea of how quickly after the Wall fell, only two years, that Germany ascended to world dominance—marching to its own drum, with little concern for world opinion.

Yugoslavia had existed as one unified country since 1919, with the exception of one particularly deadly interlude: when Hitler made Croatia his own puppet state during World War II. Over 700,000 Serbs were slaughtered by the Croats during the war, which is why Serbia was more than uneasy about the Vatican and Germany’s world-defying alliance with Croatia.

Croatian President Franjo Tudjman has refused to disassociate himself from his country’s fascist roots. Yet his shocking stance did not dissuade Germany and the Vatican from pledging their full support! According to Martin Lee, author of The Beast Reawakens, the Germans exported over $320 million worth of military hardware to Croatia between 1992 and 1994. And in 1995, for the first time since World War II, Germany committed 4,000 troops beyond its borders—inside Croatia, to enforce the tenuous peace agreement.

Since the Wall fell in 1989, the world has not only witnessed an alarming upsurge in neo-Nazi violence, we have also witnessed the escalating spirit of independence and arrogance within the German nation as a whole. Germany has rapidly risen to the ranks of a bona fide world power.

The Catholic Holocaust Document

The Vatican recently issued a document saying Christians did not do enough to stop the extermination of 6 million Jews in World War II. But it defended Pope Pius XII against charges that he did not speak out against the Nazis during the Holocaust. Jewish organizations were angered, saying the Vatican’s 14-page document, “We Remember, a Reflection on the Shoah,” did not go far enough to condemn Pius’ silence.

On March 22, 1998, the Philadelphia Inquirer carried an article summarizing Pius’ 1942 Christmas message in which he lamented the cruelties of war, but failed to even mention the Nazis. Wladyslav Raczkiewicz, president of the Polish government-in-exile at that time, wrote to Pius: “My people…implore that a voice be raised to show clearly and plainly where the evil lies. Today…the Apostolic See must break silence.” As was written in the Inquirer, “Pius did not.”

After the Vatican released its document, Phil Baum, executive director of the American Jewish Congress, lamented the Vatican’s reluctance to “impose moral culpability on some leading church authorities…who were either indifferent or in some cases actually complicit in the persecution of Jews” (emphasis mine).

Baum believes some Catholic authorities may have been “actually complicit” in the Jewish persecution and slaughter. In other words, the church—in Europe especially—was actually allied with Hitler and the Nazis.

Mussolini openly called his movement the Holy Roman Empire! That means the Vatican was a part of that empire.

The pope and other Catholics were more than just silent during the war. All we have to do is look at what the Catholic Church was doing at the end of World War II. Let’s view the whole picture.

I would like to again give you some quotes from the most frightfully shocking book I have read in years. In Unholy Trinity, Mark Aarons and John Loftus wrote (emphasis mine), “It is absurd to believe that 30,000 fugitive Nazis escaped to South America on the few U-Boats remaining at the end of the war, or that they all made their own travel arrangements. Modern popular culture has presented the escape of the Nazis in an adventurous, almost romantic light. The most popular Nazi smugglers are ODESSA and Die Spinne, although other mysterious groups are also mentioned from time to time. But in the main these stories owe more to the fertile imagination of script writers and novelists than to historical research and accuracy.

“The truth is much more ordinary, almost mundane. It is all the more shocking as a result. For whatever successes ODESSA achieved, they were mere amateurs at Nazi-smuggling when compared with the Vatican. Draganovic’s Ratline [the name given to the Vatican’s Nazi smuggling operation] was truly professional, ensuring that many guilty war criminals reached safe havens. Often they did not end up in the remote jungles of South America, but settled instead in Britain, Canada, Australia and the United States” (p. 88).

The Croatian Connection

In July of 1997, a United States Treasury document was published accusing the Vatican of hoarding Holocaust gold for the Croatian Nazi puppet regime during and after World War II. The Vatican dismissed the accusation as ridiculous. But then, when pressured by Jewish organizations to open their archives (which have been closed for 100 years) to dispel rumors of Nazi sympathies, the Vatican refused. Why? Could it be that they have something to hide?

In Unholy Trinity, Mark Aarons and John Loftus contend that they do have something to hide! Many Serbs, according to the authors, were butchered using medieval methods. “Eyes had been gouged out,” they wrote, “limbs severed, intestines and other internal organs ripped from the bodies of the living. Some were slaughtered like beasts, their throats cut from ear to ear with special knives. Others died from blows to their heads with sledgehammers. Many more were simply burned alive.”

Much more alarming, however, is the “special relationship” between the pope and Croatia at a time when Croatian fascists were slaughtering Serbs. Aarons and Loftus said the atrocities were already under way when Pope Pius XII met with Ante Pavelic, Croatia’s leader, in April 1941.

The pope agreed to meet with Pavelic again in May 1943, by which time the Nazi atrocities against the Serbs were without refute. (One Italian journalist interviewed Pavelic in his home and was shocked to find a large bowl of Serbian eyes the fascist had been collecting.) Yet, according to Unholy Trinity, “Pius himself promised to give Pavelic his personal blessing again. By this time, the Holy See possessed abundant evidence of the atrocities committed by his regime.”

U.S. intelligence also confirmed that Pavelic had numerous secret meetings with the Under Secretary of State of the Holy See, Monsignor Montini, who later became Pope Paul VI. According to one intelligence official Unholy Trinity quotes, “Pavelic’s contacts are so high and his present position is so compromising to the Vatican, that any extradition of [Pavelic] would deal a staggering blow to the Roman Catholic Church.”

Any right-thinking person ought to ask why the very highest officials in the Catholic Church, including the pope, would associate with and even protect Croatian fascists. Is that the kind of history more “conservative” Vatican officials today want to hold on to?

“For fugitive Nazis,” Aarons and Loftus wrote, “all roads led to Rome.”

High-ranking ministers, civil servants, even Ante Pavelic himself, with help from the Vatican’s Ratlines, were able to disappear into thin air, intelligence sources have confirmed. At the time, the Vatican labeled these escapees “refugees.” But they were Croatian fascists who were helping Hitler’s regime!

Remember this all happened at the end of World War II!

Pope Pius XII was by far the greatest Nazi smuggler at the end of World War II! The man who succeeded him as pope, Giovanni Montini, was also deeply involved in this crime against humanity!

What if this Holy Roman Empire turns its wrath toward America, first of all, the next time around? That is precisely what the post-World War II Nazi underground has pledged to do!

They know that we mass-produced most of the armaments that beat them in World Wars I and II.

We can’t afford to take this lightly.

These shocking facts reveal that the Vatican was deeply involved with the Germans in World War II. There is simply no other explanation. But most people continue to ignore the truth—to their own great peril!

Aarons and Loftus understand the important history between Croatia and the papacy, dating back to a.d. 700. The Catholic Church has been involved in mass murder since a.d. 514, when the first Holy Roman Empire began. This church has more to hide—or repent of—than any other institution in the history of the world!

A church either represents the true God or it is a false church. And because a church supposedly represents God, it must be held very accountable. It certainly is by God, if not by man. Read Jeremiah 23 and Ezekiel 34 to see how severely God judges rebellious pastors.

The most terrifying history by far is coming in the very near future. It is time we understand the truth. The worst mistake you can make is to refuse to understand!

Germany and the Vatican primarily started the war in Yugoslavia. This is the so-called Holy Roman Empire in action! This power should be feared 1000 times more than the Serbs. Still the world races madly toward disaster because men refuse to face the truth.

Why can’t we see that Germany and the Vatican are renewing their ties from World War II? A history that reaches back to Charlemagne.

Why would a church which is supposed to teach God’s love again ally itself with Croatia and Germany, considering their heinous Nazi crimes? Wouldn’t a repentant church or state do just the opposite? Unless they plan for a future somewhat akin to the dream of Adolf Hitler!

Margaret Thatcher was the only high-ranking politician who would even discuss the “German problem.” Only she had the understanding and courage to do so!

No politician has yet had the courage to discuss the Vatican problem. That attitude can only lead to a bloody disaster.

So expect Germany to repeat their history. How could we expect it to be otherwise?

Thatcher came to see that she and President Mitterrand of France could do nothing to stop German reunification. She and the whole world must come to see that nothing can stop Germany’s rise to power and the resulting destruction it will bring on the world scene. That is because God is raising Germany to punish biblical Israel—mainly the American and British peoples—for their sins, unless they repent! (See Isaiah 10:5-7.)

Our reaction should not be to rise up and try to stop Germany. That wouldn’t work. Our only hope is to repent of our sins. Then God would humble Germany.

The new Charlemagne is to lead the world into the greatest sea of blood that humanity has ever seen or even dreamed about. Whether we realize it or not, the Fourth Reich has arrived—though still in disguise to most of the world.

The Modern Charlemagne

We are going to see the rise of a man who is prophesied to do great evil. And he undoubtedly will be a German. “And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up” (Dan. 8:23). This verse is dual. It applies to Antiochus Epiphanes anciently. But it also refers to the end time, “when the sinners fill up their measure” (literal translation). Mankind is not getting better and better, as evolutionists and others think! Just the reverse is happening in this “latter time”!

A leader will rise who is the epitome of all this end-time evil. He has a “fierce countenance,” meaning he is unyielding and merciless. The expression “dark sentences,” most commentaries agree, means he conceals his true motives. He is highly skilled at intrigue, deceit, double-talk and double-dealing. He comes to destroy, but is disguised as a peacemaker! Like Satan, he comes as “an angel of light.”

The Jamieson, Fausset and Brown Commentary relates that anciently, “Antiochus made himself master of Egypt and Jerusalem successively by craft.” JFB then quotes two verses from the book of Maccabees: “The king sent his chief collector of tribute, who came unto Jerusalem with a great multitude, and spake peaceable words unto them; but all was deceit: for when they had given him credence, he fell suddenly upon the city, and smote it very sore, and destroyed much people of Israel…. Antiochus sent also that detestable ringleader, Apollonius, with an army of two and twenty thousand, commanding him to slay all those that were in their best age, and to sell the women and the younger sort; who, coming to Jerusalem, and pretending peace, did forbear till the holy day of the Sabbath, when, taking the Jews keeping holyday, he commanded his men to arm themselves, and so he slew all them that were gone to the celebrating of the Sabbath” (I Macc. 1:30; II Macc. 5:24).

This is the kind of leader who is about to rise in Germany!

The European Union

“And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people” (Dan. 8:24). He destroys, “but not by his own power.” Ten nations will be unified. This political power is guided by a great false church. But the real power is from Satan himself! (Rev. 13:2; 17:13). This will be the European Union led by Germany and the Vatican. It is a power that will terrify the entire earth!

The “holy people” shall also be destroyed. God’s own rebellious church will be destroyed by this beast power. This ought to sober and motivate all of God’s people! Unfortunately, most of them continue to sleep.

A Religious Clash

The pope said, “It must be understood that Jews, who for 2,000 years were dispersed among the nations of the world, had decided to return to the land of their ancestors. This is their right.

“And this right,” he said, “is recognized even by those who look upon the nation of Israel with an unsympathetic eye” (Parade interview). This is a very significant and dramatic statement. The pope knows there are millions of Arabs who have an “unsympathetic eye” toward Jerusalem! This statement is sure to offend many Arabs. And that is doubly true concerning radical Islam.

Already friction is building between the Islamic world and the Catholic Church. The Bible says this division will lead to a great clash.
